After the formalities and baggage collection at the airport, the guide is already waiting with a sign at the exit. "Karibu sana" - a warm welcome!
The guide will then take you directly to your accommodation. The route takes you 200 kilometres past Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, through Arusha and many other small villages on well-maintained country roads.
After the drive and check-in, you can freshen up and enjoy the wonderful view of the lake from your own terrace. In the public area, you can cool off in the pool or enjoy a Tanzanian coffee on the large terrace in the restaurant area. The first sundowner in the evening sun of the African steppe is always something special. From now on it's "pole pole!" - calm and slow!

The day in the shadow of the elephant. The Tarangire National Park offers a beautiful, wide panorama with open acacia forests, huge baobab trees and large grass savannahs, through which the Tarangire River meanders. In addition to herds of elephants, some of which number more than 300 animals, the park is home to around 100 species of mammals. These include antelopes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons and giraffes. The big cats here include lions and cheetahs. You have plenty of time to observe the animals and must be prepared for elephants blocking the way. In the evening, we transfer to the accommodation in Karatu.

The approximately two to three-hour drive over the crater rim of the Ngorongoro Crater leads into the Serengeti. At the viewpoints you can enjoy the unique landscape of the former volcano before descending on the other side into the Serengeti, probably the most famous savannah in the world. Once you have passed the gate on the way to Naabi Hill Gate, you quickly realise where the Serengeti got its name from. It is derived from the Maasai word "Siringitu" and means "endless land". The route to the accommodation consists of game drives and pure nature.

There are no prescribed for routes at the Serengeti safari. Many hidden can be found, where animals and spectacles are able to see. Special discoveries are communicated by radio so that you are unlikely to "miss" anything in the vicinity. The "Great Migration", with around 1.5 million wildebeest and zebras, is rightly considered one of the great wonders of nature! Lunch is usually eaten in the form of a lunchbox at one of the picnic areas or in the car while observing animals.

The route from the Serengeti Safari back to the Crater ( approx. 200km) takes about 4 hours, depending on the duration of the stops for game viewing and short breaks. The first stop is a scenic game drive from the Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Several million years ago, a mountain rose up here, which geologists estimate to be higher than Mount Kilimanjaro. Tectonic movements caused the mountain to collapse, creating a habitat that is unique in the world. The interior of the crater, which is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world, covers an area of over 260 square kilometres. It is hard to imagine that there is room for almost 30,000 animals in one crater. Due to the favourable conditions and the difficult escape from the crater, there is hardly any migration. As the crater is rather small in comparison to other parks, there is a chance of encountering one of the 20 or so local black rhinos here. After the game drive, we continue to our accommodation.

On the approximately two-hour drive on very well-maintained roads, you pass through various small villages and see lively activity everywhere before you reach the relatively small airport in Arusha.
